Dmitry Idiatov
Dmitry Idiatov is the project leader and a researcher at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE). Within the project he is working together with Mark Van de Velde on the grammatical analysis and documentation of the Buto language Bena-Yungur (glottocode: bena1260) and on the Jarawan Bantu language Mbula (glottocode: mbul1260). He also works on other languages of the Buto group (aka Bena-Mboi). |

Mark Van de Velde
Mark Van de Velde is a researcher at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE). Within the project he is working together with Dmitry Idiatov on the grammatical analysis and documentation of Bena-Yungur (glottocode: bena1260) and on the Jarawan Bantu language Mbula (glottocode: mbul1260). He is equally actively involved in the supervision of the students participating in the project. |

Lora Litvinova
Lora Litvinova joined the project in 2016 as a PhD fellow (PhD fellowship in Typology and dynamics of linguistic systems of the LABEX Empirical Foundations of Linguistics) at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE). Lora's doctoral research focuses on the grammatical analysis and documentation of Kugama (glottocode: kuga1239). |

Chika Kennedy Ajede
Chika Kennedy Ajede joined the project in 2020 as a PhD fellow (PhD fellowship by the Thèses internationales programme of CNRS) at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE). Chika's doctoral research focuses on the grammatical analysis and documentation of Dijim (glottocode: diji1241). |

Nlabephee Kefas Othaniel
Nlabephee Kefas Othaniel joined the project in 2018 as a research assistant when he was doing his MA at the Theological College of Northern Nigeria. Since 2023, Nlabephee is a PhD fellow, funded by the Individual Graduate Scholarship of the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP), at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE). Nlabephee's doctoral research focuses on the grammatical analysis and documentation of Dza (glottocode: dzaa1238). |

Bitrus Andrew is our local research assistant and a speaker of Bena-Yungur (glottocode: bena1260). In 2016, he contributed to the AdaGram Adamawa Languages Survey organized by the project. |

Jakob Lesage
Jakob Lesage was a PhD fellow (“Emergence(s)" program of the City of Paris) at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE) in the period of 2016-2020. Jakob defended his PhD thesis on the grammatical analysis and documentation of Kam (glottocode: kamm1249) on June 25, 2020. Currently, Jakob is a post-doctoral researcher at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and pursues his work on Kam as part of his documentation project funded by the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP). |

Eveling Villa was a PhD fellow (“Emergence(s)" program of the City of Paris) at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE) in the period of 2017-2022. Eveling's doctoral research focused on the grammatical analysis and documentation of Nyesam (glottocode: kpas1242). The documentation of Nyesam produced by the project can be consulted through the Endangered Languages Archive. |

Mirjam Möller Nwadigo
Mirjam Möller Nwadigo was a PhD fellow (INSPIRE program of USPC) at the research unit “Langage, Langues et Cultures d’Afrique" (UMR 8135 CNRS - INALCO / EPHE) in the period of 2015-2020. Mirjam's doctoral research focused on the grammatical analysis and documentation of Baa (glottocode: kwaa1262). Mirjam's documentation efforts were also supported by a Small Documentation Grant for documentation of Baa (2017–2018) from the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP). |

Tope Olagunju
Tope Olagunju obtained a BA in African languages and linguistics from the Kwara State University at Malete in 2017. His term paper produced under the supervision of Mark Van de Velde provides the first grammatical analysis of Fam (glottocode: famm1241). In 2016, Tope equally contributed to the AdaGram Adamawa Languages Survey organized by the project. |
