As the principal applicant of the ELDP project, Mark set up the documentation programme. He is working with Odette Ambouroue on the grammatical description of Myene.
Dmitry Idiatov
Dmitry trained our research assistant, Marjorie Mbengoue Ompouma, to transcribe Myene texts using IPA notation and tone marking. He is also working on a Myene dictionary that can be consulted on cell phones.
Marjorie Mbengoue Ompouma
Marjorie is a native speaker of the Orungu variety of Myene. She assists us in making video and audio recordings and in transcribing and translating recordings using ELAN.
Odette Ambouroue
Odette is a native speaker of the Orungu variety of Myene, which she described in her PhD thesis (University Libre de Bruxelles). She was employed by the Myene project as a postdoctoral researcher from February 2010 to December 2011. Currently she holds a postdoc position at the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren. In October 2012 she will join us again to help us finish the documentation project.
